New Trick

Some may question why my web address is 98 percent chaos. However, if you have ever spent any time around my family the answer to that question should be clear! There is never a dull moment around our home. If there is something crazy that could happen, it undoubtedly will happen to us. After nearly 8 years of marriage we have learned to accept this fact, and roll with the punches....however somedays we are taken by surprise.

Mr. C has learned a new trick to getting out of time out. But before I bestow his new found knowledge upon you, let me explain how he got himself in time out in the first place. I was cleaning dishes (by hand mind you...*dreaming of a dishwasher*) when I discovered one of Sweet E's milk cups that had not been rinsed. Now since Sweet E is still one (for a few more days) she still drinks cream, oh I mean whole milk. So as soon as her sippy cup hits the sunlight....well you can imagine...it is NASTY!! Now being someone that is not too fond of the smell of milk in the first place, I was gagging up a storm as I was trying to rinse the rancid thing out. Mr. C said, "Mommy are you going to throw up?" To which I responded "Maybe!" No later had I had the conversation with Mr. C that I heard chaos ensuing at my ankles. I turn to see Mr. C holding a key, and Sweet E with a horrified, I can't breath, I am about to scream look on her face. Knowing Mr. C I quickly asked him if he had poked the key in Sweet E's ear....to which he looked at me, threw the key, and ran away! So that was my answer....before I could console Sweet E or chase Mr.C, Sweet E started to gag! I quickly scooped her up and rushed her to the bathroom before she could puke on the floor. She continued to gag for a few minutes, in the mean time I scolded Mr.C about being nice to his baby sister, and sent him to time out. From his room I hear "you are a bad mommy", "you are a mean mommy"....yada yada. Anyway I continue to console Sweet E in the bathroom, when all of a sudden Mr.C pops his head out of his room. I then tell him, "look your sister is going to throw up because you were so mean to her", to which he responds, "I'm going to throw up because you are so mean to me." I then told him, "well swallow it and go back to your room," nice mothering skills I know!! It could not have been more than 10 seconds later that Mr. C re-appears and looks at me and says "I'm going to throw up!" Then HE DID! All over the carpet, all over the bathroom floor and rug, and then all over the toilet!! UHHHH!!! I had forgotten who I was dealing with....seriously who can make themselves throw up on demand!?! Since Mr. C was little he has had that special talent, he used to use it on us when we would put him to bed and he did not want to go! So there you go...want to get out of time out....puke your guts out....your mom will be so frustrated and distracted cleaning up the mess that you will get away with watching another show!! I guess I will think twice before I send Mr. C to time out!

So there you go...a everyday example of the fun in our home! I am not sure what will come of this blog, I have had the address for awhile and done nothing with it. I am sure it will change and reinvent itself along the way....so be patient and enjoy the ride!

Keep the stories comming. We love to here what the kids are up to.

That's such a lovely "on demand" talent. I'm just glad none of my kids came equiped with that one.

Best of luck.
